Subroto Bagchi , Co-Founder, Vice Chairman, Member of Investor Grievances Committee and Member of Administrative Committee, MindTree Limited

Subroto Bagchi, B.A, Co-Founded MindTree Limited (formerly known as Mindtree Consulting Ltd.) in August 1999 and served as its Chief Operating Officer until April 2008. Mr. Bagchi was responsible for leading the Global People Function, Global Marketing and Facilities and Administration, and oversees Special Projects, Culture and Competence and Knowledge Management initiatives. Prior to MindTree, he served as Vice President of Product Realization, Lucent Technologies from 1998 to 1999. His other assignments included setting up Wipro's six Sigma initiatives as Corporate Vice President of Mission Quality. He also served as Chief Executive of Wipro's global R&D division, oversaw its growth from an 80-person cost center to a 600 person-strong international 'lab-on-hire' that designed technology solutions for Fortune 500 technology companies. He was also credited with setting up Wipro's U.S. operations in Silicon Valley, where he lived from 1990 to 1993. He has been Vice Chairman of MindTree Limited since July 2009 and serves as its Executive Director. He has written hundreds of articles on management and technology issues in leading newspapers and magazines, and has lectured at management schools and industry platforms in India, the U.S. and Singapore. Mr. Bagchi holds a Degree in Political Science from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, India.
